Stumbling

No sleep ’til Blackburn

I’ve had a loooong day.

My son was awake most of the night with a fever (therefore, me too). We’ve moved a lot of office furniture out of our studio for storage (how have I collected this much crap in 16 months?!). I’ve dropped my wife and son off at the airport to go to Spain, then went stumbling around Liverpool with my good friend Jim. He said if you’re too tired, leave it. But the chance to log some fresh ground is always too appealing.

So we drove round Liverpool city centre, well, he drove, I piloted the laptop. We did drive-bys on such buildings as Barclays Bank, Sony Europe and the town hall, all showing up nicely. After an hour or so of this, we headed back to Jim’s, and I left… with the intention of covering more ground!

A quick drive from West Derby to Crosby, the village I grew up in , then a late night cruise round my old stomping ground… fuelled by Red Bull and Tool. Another hour passes. It’s time to go home… head for the M58 and another hours drive up the motorway to Blackburn.

“What do you mean you can see four open networks?”
